Hi, I noticed yesterday that all of my text messages from 21 March 2020 to 10 August 2020, have been deleted.  I did not delete them.  I visited the Apple shop and they said it was not a phone issue.  I need to recover the missing data.  Can you advise?  Many thanks.

Do you do any backups to icloud?

As if so you should be able to restore them from an icloud backup

https://www.imyfone.com/icloud/restore-imessages-from-icloud/

If not then there is no way to restore them, im afraid.

Look in message settings as you can select to never expire.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

it also worth checking in iCloud setting that you have messages backup turned on (its OFF by default)
