@RebeccaBridges

You need to use your old sim or do a sim swap to use the new one Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update

I've sold my old phone along with the SIM in it - do you know what I can do?

Call customer services and report the SIM as lost.
A replacement will be sent to your billing address (so check that is correct first).
Not sure, but when it arrives you might need to call again to activate it.

Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).

@RebeccaBridges You must report the sim as lost asap. Leaving your sim in the phone you sold makes you liable for any charges made to that number. Make sure you only report the sim as lost, otherwise the phone you sold will get barred as well.

@RebeccaBridges

You should never do that.

The sim is your contract and anyone could now use it to run up a big bill.

I hope you've called O2 to report it by now?

Numbers here Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support
When it comes to the reason you are calling stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say "Upgrade", "Lost/Stolen" or "Fraud" if you have to, to get put through to someone.
