Updated phone - has to change from SIM only and was sent new mini 5G SIM. Apple Watch has stopped worked as cell and claims my O2 account has no data.

“Your O2 account is not eligible to enable mobile data on your Apple Watch. Contact O2 for more information.”

I’m paying for this - how can I fix this right away?

Seems my SIM swap taking the number across caused a watch hiatus. Redid the switch texts and rebooted both old phones and SIM and new phone and SIM. Watch then showed no SIM but used phone to add data plan.

All caught up now. Many thanks for all the input. Appreciated.

@Marcj

Check you have a direct debit in place to pay your bills as it is a requirement for the Apple watch to register.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
