I just upgraded my phone and now have no signal. I have signal on my old phone and my husband has signal on his o2 phone right next to me

Did you use your old sim card or did you put the replacement in?

As if you put a blank sim card you need to do a sim swap as per the instructions in the sim wallet or this user guide https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/How-to-Guides/SIM-Swap-a-mini-guide-incl-eSim/ba-p/1060675
