Hi, just received my new phone today, but I don't know what to do.  Do I insert the new sim card or take the old sim card out of my old phone and put it in my new phone?

Then how do I transfer data.

I have searched all the topics but still stuck.  Also tried phoning O2 but this type of call can not be taken at this time due to not being essential.

Anyone help please.

@Nickey

Use your old sim for now.

You can change to a new 5g sim when everything gets back to normal.

You can transfer data as part of the setup routine. Just follow the prompts on the phone screen.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

If you got the phone as an upgrade, then use the old sim as advised.
If you took out a new contract through a 3rd party and need to close the old one (and move your number across) then you need to contact customer services.
Numbers and ways to call are in the link below:

Thank you both for your replies.  I have installed old sim an all is working good now.  Do either of you know how to get a copy of your invoice......need it to claim my free watch, but they never sent me an invoice.  Any help would be much appreciated.

You can save a copy of your recent orders from your MyO2 as a pdf to attach to your claim.

How do you save the order as a PDF, the only option I can see is to Print Order Details.

Been at this for an hour trying to claim watch.....it's not going well.  Got order downloaded as PDF and now the claim form for my watch has disappeared.  Tried claiming through Samsung and it says the Promotion has closed.  Searched everywhere in My O2 for the option to claim my watch and no luck.  Any ideas?  Sorry for all the questions x
