Hi,
In the current climate, there is no one dealing with these enquiries on the O2 customer service number at present so thought I would reach out here.
I have been gifted a Samsung S8 (was on EE) as an upgrade from my S7.
Bottom line is that both me and the other party got our IMEI numbers, unlocked phones etc.... but in the process of doing all this I have put a wrong number in over 10 times as now I am greeted with the 'Network Unlock Request Unsuccessful'
Does anyone have a clue how to get hold of the correct unlock code without having to speak to customer services? Is there some software to solve this?
Thanks in anticipation!

You'd need to ask.Samsumg for a master unlock code.

Thanks for the swift response. I will get hold of them and see how much they will charge me for that or even if they are taking these queries in the current climate!
They are responding via chat. Not sure about calling but chat was active 2 days ago @Brusta

I really appreciate that @MI5
It seems that the Samsung Live Chat is not available now either and they are directing to their own community posts but having briefly looked, seems the end result is to contact their customer services team and so the cycle continues as this is not deemed a priority at present 😞
Is there any software worth getting hold of to unlock myself you think?

You need access to Samsung's system or specialist equipment to read the code from the phone.
It's not something that can be accessed by the end user unfortunately.
