Hello, I think I already know the answer to this but seeing as I've lost all my photos I think it's worth a shot! I factory reset my S21 as it keeps switching itself off a couple of times a day. I backed up or at least I thought I did. Turns out Google wasn't on so I have lost all the photos from my phone.

Is there any way of retrieving them? I am so sad I lost all of them, there are lots of them I can live without but lots I would like back. Is there a solution or are they lost forever?

If there really is no backup, it is as you suspect I'm afraid.

There is only one ray of hope I can think of but it's not guaranteed.

@RandomBrunette Log in to your Gmail account on a laptop or PC and check if your photos are there. Go to the Google apps button next to your account button. google apps button.png

Click on that and then scroll down to the photos icon. 1024px-Google_Photos_icon_(2020).svg.png

Hi @TheresaV They're definitely not backed up anywhere. I tried the Recuva but don't think I understand it. It doesn't seem to have an option to plug in device only SD card, not sure what I'm doing wrong. Will keep trying but I think they're lost!

Connect phone to PC and let Recuva treat it as an external drive.
