Receiving unsolicited incoming calls from abroad

Hello, not sure if anything can help with an issue my wife has with her Apple O2 mobile. She has started receiving calls from abroad, which are nothing to do with her. She does not answer them she simply deletes them.  There have been two from the USA, one from South Korea and today one from Switzerland. Sadly as she has deleted the calls I cannot see any numbers even if there were any.  I suspect these are some sort of 'spam' (if that is the correct word) calls and any attempt to answer them may lead to further issues.  Has anyone any idea how to proceed with this?  I hope that eventually they will stop, but would like to make someone aware at O2 that this is going on just in case others are noticing the same issue. Any ideas as to the best course of action??

@IDC57

It's very common across all networks unfortunately.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Hello, thank you for your reply. Yes I did find some info on Google and it seems to be yet another scam which could so easily cost money.

Not sure how long they will go on but will take a look at the link you provided and maybe look for the 'app' mentioned on Google. which may help block such calls. Not sure if that is the route we will follow though.

Thanks again for your help.

Yes, thanks again that is what we decided to do. We have registered my wife's phone on TPS, mine had been on for years. so at least we have done that.

So again thanks and all the best.
