I received a new phone weeks ago but never set it up properly until yesterday, I can’t get internet or calls

You need to use your old sim card in the new phone.

If you need to use the new sim, for example to get 5g, you need to start a sim swap from your old sim card Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update
