My iPhone 12 pro wouldn't switch on, just sat with the loading circle, now none of the apps work and it won't let me shut it down, how can I fix this, I've only had it a week

Try a soft reset first.

Press volume up, then volume down, then hold the power button until the Apple logo appears on screen.

If that fails, contact Apple for a diagnostic check https://www.apple.com/uk/retail/geniusbar/

Currently using:
OnePlus 6 (O2 & Sfr), Z3 Tablet (Three UK), iPhone 8+ (EE)
