Iphone 12 pro won't connect to network

Hi all, set my phone up earlier this afternoon

I've checked status of o2 network and all is fine. My phone just does not connect to the O2 network at all today and hasn't since I started it up... any ideas? I've checked the sim, I've switched off and on again, I've tried manually selecting o2 but all I get is the 4 empty small boxes to the left of the Wi-fi signal

If you've done a sim swap they are taking longer than usual right now.

If not, use your old sim until its less busy.
