upgrading and EU roaming

If I upgrade my O2 package would this stop my free EU roaming?

No it wont stop the free EU roaming as everyone on contract is eligible for that. If you are on O2 Travel Inclusive, a change of tariff may stop that. You would need to check the tariff carefully.
