i have got the iphone 11 with a new sim - i followed the sim swap instructins and put in the code of the sim etc and got a text to my old phone saying the sim swap request had been received by o2 - both phones are now neither receiving calls or texts and if i try to get help online o2 want to text me a code which i now cannot receive. how will i know when the sim swap has been done successfully or has someting gone wrong?

The sim swap can in very extreme circumstances take upto 24 hours to complete.

Best thing to do is to keep putting your new handset into Airplane mode, and then out, as this will hopefully kick the new sim into life.

You could always try customer services as well on 0844 809 0202 and follow the information below to speak to an agent.
when it comes to the reason you are calling, stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else

Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.when it comes to the reason you are calling, stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.

Your old sim is now dead forever, so stop using that.

Put the new sim in the phone and keep turning off and on (rebooting) every 30 mins until it comes online.

Usually no more than 3 or 4 hours.
