My 02 app has never worked it says it has never been activated now my contract has ran out I can't sign in to my 02 to sort this and I need a phone that works.

First, I suggest that you try MyO2 online :-
If you are using the app, try deleting it, rebooting your 'phone and then reinstalling the latest version of the app.
