changing from contract to pay as you go

I have moved to austrlia and still paying a contract for data, how can i cancel the data plan and change to pay monthly for text and calls so that i can keep my number?

o2 dont offer a plan with just text and calls, your only option is to move to a rolling plan or big bundle plan, and top up each month, but they still come with a UK data allowance...

And in Australia on PAYG you will pay a per minute charge for receiving calls and making calls. 

You might be best looking at the likes of giffgaff or other virtual networks and porting the number to them..
