Solved: account change

My phone is linked to my parents account as they use to pay for it. I now pay for it however it's still in their name as it couldnt be changed unless i was getting a new phone. I'm now ready for a new phone and will be trading in my current one whislt getting the new one. Will my parent need to be in the shop as well as me if i go to do this? or can i go alone? as the current phone is in their name.

You'll need your parent to give permission to port your number if you;re keeping it for the new contract.

@CharlieS If you intend to take a new contract in your name as well as buy the phone, be aware that this will be subject to a credit check.
