If you upgraded and your on refresh it will be instant for the device and you will start a new device plan. The first payment will be due on your next billing date.

Your airtime will be pro-rated.

If your contract is with O2 directly, it will be Refresh. They don't offer any other type of contract, unless it's sim only.
