I have been switched over to O2 sim from my Virgin Media updated package (Ultimate), and O2 could not locate my address on their data base. I have used my daughters nearby address as I was advised to do , so that the sim card could be delivered. This has two problems in that I'm now registered at her address, and it cannot link me into my virgin Media package at the correct address....How am I'm going to resolve this issue....my house has been here since 1902, but is often found under it's name and not it's number, but O2 seem to say that neither can be found. This is both extremely annoying and time consuming, and somehow needs resolution

Blame Royal Fail or Experian who update the Post Code Databases, as that is what o2 use to verify addresses,,,
You need to speak to o2 on 0344 809 0202 or Virgin on 0345 454 1111 and get them to change the address

O2 use Royal Mails database so if it's on there it will be on O2's system.
I'd call back to try again or If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this.
