Solved: Text message

I have just received a text from O2 saying my PAC has expired and if I don't follow the link within the text my contract will be suspended, I'm just curious if this is a scam or O2

Ignore the text.

Block the number and do not follow any links.
Forward the scam text to 7726 - It's free.

Yeah I posted on Facebook saying it was a scam too as my dad's just been frauded by something similar to this and I find it disgusting that people do this! X
