Telephone call from O2 Custer service

Just had a call from someone saying they are customer service and offering me a 40% tariff discount for being a loyal customer.  They texted me a one time code and wanted me to enter this into a link they sent me to activate the discount.  I suspect that this is a scam because I received a message a few days ago telling me that my tariff is increasing.  Am I right in thinking that this is a scam?

You are indeed correct it is a scam, do not click on the link or give them the OTP, as this will give them full access to take over your account.

Report the number to on on 7726 and have a look on this page https://www.o2.co.uk/help/safety-and-security/phishing-and-smishing-advice

Also change your password immediately on my o2.
