Swapping my number

I want to swap my number from my old phone under a family members o2 to my new phone in my name on o2. I keep getting sent back to my o2. It seems simple if it's a different network but o2 to o2 is a nightmare.

But you both need to be on the phone and they need to approve the migration, and the old contract will need to be paid up.
