Hello,
when I was abroad and I bought an esim, my O2 Sim became inactive. When I returned to UK, I tried to talk ro an agent but he send me to a O2 shop. Because I didn’t have time and I needed the phone, I bought another Sim and I replaced the O2 SIM with another one. Now, I got an email that I still have to pay my O2 Sim even that I didn’t use it because it was inactive. I cancelled my direct debit and I want my account closed My old number is ************. My account was: ***********. Thank you. Laura

You still need to cancel it with O2.

Cancelling your direct debit was not a wise thing to do. O2 will merely sell the perceived debt to a Debt Collection Agency for enforcement, whilst trashing your credit score in the process. They are ruthless when money is at stake.
I would urge you to follow @MI5's advice and to contact O2 at the earliest opportunity. 👍
