I haven’t had my SIM card in my phone since January 2023, yes my phone bill is somehow £165? Please explain?? How can I be charged when I’m not even using my phone while abroad??

I was also charged £135 in January even though I was using a HK SIM card for the majority of that month?

Please help! I won’t be paying the January phone bill as this is insane! I also want to cancel my UK contract.

Check your MyO2, @Phonebillnosim, to see where the charges have been coming from while your SIM was out of your phone: Guide: How do I get to the 'Download Bill' page?

And if you wish to terminate, final charges and paying off your handset need to be considered - do not just disable your Direct Debit until that has all been squared away (as you will lose access to MyO2 the day you terminate the contract) - Guide: Cancelling Your Contract

Edited to add typical costs, with and without O2 Travel Bolt-on, for Hong Kong on an O2 SIM:

This looks like something you’d need to call O2’s customer service team about – give them a call on 202 or 0344 809 0202

If you still need help then the Social Media teams will be on hand, just send them a message

Were you able to determine where the charges came from @Phonebillnosim?
