Hello,

So I had the My O2 app which had aura and the new look, however, by mistake, I uninstalled it. So I went to the play store and installed anew, only to find the old version of the app on there which was lasted updated November last year.

How can I get the current version of the app back?

Hi @LukeC  and all, regarding the new My O2 version you were discussing above.

You may remember back in April we communicated in advance about a new My O2 update that some of you may now have. This was part of a very gradual roll-out. This update has been paused and we’ll be rolling it out again in the coming weeks and months, so keep your eyes peeled for it. We’ll give you a heads up when it’s due to re-start, though. slight_smile

Delete that one, reinstall it or see if your phone has any app updates pending

Hi,

Thanks for the prompt reply.

I tried what you suggested, however, the same old app was there. My phone is up-to-date with the latest updates.

I'm wondering if the new update was revoked for my phone because of what's been happening with Trump and Huawei...

Is there nothing else I can do?

Unfortunately if that's the latest available on Play you won't get the newer version unless you find the .apk on Google and sideload it.

That's the weird thing - a month or so ago when I installed it from the play store it was the latest version. I'm not sure why it has been reverted.

That's the same version as the one I have now.. but it doesn't have Aura or the special O2 messaging service or the updated look.

I guess O2 have pulled it for everyone then.
There's definitely nothing newer available on Play for Android.

I see.. thanks for the insight. Maybe it'll be back on at some point - maybe a new version is on the way.

I can only guess they found an issue with it and took it down to fix it.
