Hi All,
I was a target of a phone scam and the business banking team I'm working with require details of when the call was and duration etc. The incoming call was from a private number and I don't seem to have records of it on my phone. I have logged into my O2 and I can an itemised breakdown of outgoing calls that I made but I need the log of the incoming call. How best can I request this? It's really critical to aid the investigation.

You won't be able to get a record of incoming calls from O2
Only calls you made
The only place you can get that info is from your phone logs
If your phone was automatically backed up you could try restoring the call log

How can the mobile carrier not have this information available?

Presumably they do have the information somewhere but customer service and the systems they can access don't reccord incoming calls
It would probably need the police to request this but unless it's subject to a legal case they won't help you
