I have had a sim-only contract since I can remember, but for the last 5 years or so, at the end of the 12 months, I renew the contract, often changing the data allowance for what suits.

I usually do this through uswitch.co.uk which clicks through to o2 with some good contract offers.

In the past, it asks you to log-in to my02 if you are an existing customer - which in the past I have done, and then it used to ask - do you want a new contract, or upgrade an existing one?

This year, 2025 - I have tried the same, but there doesn't appear to be an option to 'upgrade' your existing contract to the chosen offer.

Can someone from o2, or with better knowledge help?

A few people have commented on this, but this is either a problem with o2 or uSwitch, so I would contact both of them..

Have you tried money supermarket?? As the option is still there albeit only on certain plans so would expect the same on uSwitchScreenshot 2025-06-27 at 09.43.41.png

But looking at uSwitch's pages their is no longer any mention of if you are an exisiting customer... and uSwitch probably dont make any money from you if you are an exisiting o2 customer.

This is not customer services and we dont have access to your account
I do not work for o2 or any VMo2 /Telefonica/Liberty Global Company

That’s exactly the option that used to exist. Glad I’m not doing anything wrong!

At which point does this option show up? I thought it was before the delivery or collection stages?

Yes currently not working. I was the one who made a post about this last week when I discovered it lol.

Spoke to O2 agent again and they are awaer, but gave the BS answers/advice.

I will try call USwitch tomorrow, but not sure what it will achieve lol.

I dont see any option to 'upgrade number' via other comparison sites. So not sure what you saw/advice on that??...

O2 pull offers from time to time

Nothing to do with USwitch

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

O2 will say anything to get you off the phone.

Remember, in this case it is USwitch and Money Saving Supermarket on which the offer does not show. Unlikely the two of them are thinking on the same lines
