I have had the O2 app 6.0.1 for a month or so, and the info it will give me is 'Current Balance' and have I got a bolt on.
And thats it.
I cannot buy bolt ons, check data usage ....nothing.
But I just found out that if I ignore this app, and navigate to Myo2 in a browser and sign in, some of this info is there, data usage for instance.
Should I just delete this app?
Note, I do not have a monthly contract. (is that what this app is for?)

The app should give you your remaining allowances and allow you to change tariff or bolt on.
Are you using the same sign in details as the web version?
Try deleting the app, reboot the phone and downloading again.

same sign in details as the web version? Yes
Tried uninstall/reinstall, and it is the same.
Only thing I can access is current balance, and a page that says I have a bolt on.
No data usage, no ability to buy anything.
I can access a page that tells me how to text to buy add ons, but if this is the sum total of this app, it is of no use to me.

I have solved this.
I have been thinking that I could see info and add bolt ons etc from within the (payg) O2 app.
I have thought this because I have see countless references, and been told it in a shop.
Here is one reference from https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/tariffs/bolt-ons:
If you're new to O2 you can add Bolt Ons after you've chosen your tariff (and phone if you want one) in the Shop. If you're already on O2, you can add them in My O2
It does not say the MY O2 app for payg customers, and thats the thing, the app is a dead thing for us payg poor relations.
As lovemyphone says, you cannot do anything with this app on payg.
So I have deleted.
sorted.
thanks for the input.
