I applied for my open discount over a week ago and it's still stuck in the validation process. Spoke to o2 support on the phone and not very helpful at all and quite frankly rude. I was told to send a picture of a blue light card and a National insurance number instead of a wage slip. The guy on the phone said I must send a wage slip but nowhere does it give the option to reapply or amend. Can someone help, please

I would ring again and get a different advisor.

I don't know whether @Cleoriff or any other the other experienced experts will have a view, but I would be very cautious about sending an image of your blue light card and your NINO. If you work for the emergency services, does your department have a policy on supplying copies of your blue light card ?
If you have already supplied a payslip, I would personally be uncomfortable about sending your blue light card and NINO too.
