Hi, I ordered iPhone 12 Max Pro which switched my network from 4G to 5G. Before I received the device my 4G service was already deactivated.

Today I received 5G SIM and handset, but I am unable to swap my number or even the SIM is not getting activated.

If I try o2.co.uk/swapmysim, I cannot receive code or make any call on 202 or message 20220.

So I am not sure how to get the SIM activated now, as I do not have any other number which I can use to call O2 Customer Service nor any O2 stores are open which I can go to.

Please guide me through.

You need to call O2

You can use Skype to call.

All numbers including Skype are in this guide

Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

Advice from an O2 Guru regarding a way to get through:

When you call, you will be asked for the reason you are calling,

Stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.

Press 2 for Everything Else

Press 5 for More Options

Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to an advisor.

Press Upgrade, Lost/Stolen or Fraud if you have to.

8am is the best time to call
