I currently have a Blue Light Card as I am employed by the MOD and was told by staff in store that I can get 25% off airtime on my new contract. I was given misleading information twice by different members of staff at my local store, and when I contacted O2 support (twice, on hold for a total of about 45 minutes) I was told that the only discount they do is with individual employers, with an O2 Open discount code. I've tried every variation of employee name when requesting the code via 61202 but to no avail.
So, essentially, if there is no code I have been missold the phones as I can't get the discount I was promised.
So, is there an employee name I can send to 61202 for MOD?

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this
Thanks

Hi @AndyP2609
All information here in this guide. Guide: O2 Open & Friends and Family discounts - How to sign up
We have had numerous members who successfully apply with the Blue Light Card.
Your HR dept will know the code.

I'm not confident TBH as I've tried using the text messaging option to find the 5-digit code and nothing works. I've contacted my HR department but no reply.
Part of the problem with this is that I wasn't told that the discount had to be applied via O2 Open. I was told in store (twice) that a Blue Light Card discount could be applied (NOT that a discount could be applied for my company).
I took out the contract in store because I was told a BLC discount could be applied within 1 month of taking out the contracts. I found a discount code with BLC but that was NOT for O2 Open, so could not be applied (it was for O2 Refresh, and seems it can only be applied when taking out the new contract via the website).
Basically if there is no discount code for my organisation then I was misled about the fact that a discount could be applied. At no point when taking out the contract was it mentioned that the offer was for my specific employer.
UPDATE: although I am eligible for BLC my employer DOES NOT have a 5-digit code for O2 Open. Beyond annoyed about this...

Did this get resolved? I'm having the same problem. Don't have a BLC but was told we could use MOD to get discount. Can't get the code either
