MyO2 is still showing my old phone as the device. Number has been switched to new phone and I am getting emails relating to new phone, and MyO2 has correct details with regard to order, payment etc for new phone. I don't think I can change this?

Hi @Flaneuse

If you have a pencil icon next to the device, then you can change it yourself.

If not, then call O2 to reset it in your MY O2.

I have changed the device name as you suggest but if I go to "My O2 products and services" it still shows the old phone (I have signed out and signed in again). Call them - are you having a laugh rofl? A myriad of options, none of which is appropriate. Life is too short. Chatbot useless too.

Then you do need O2 to reset your account @Flaneuse

As we are a community forum, we can only give you the numerous numbers in the guide I posted above.

Ok - I doesn't really affect anything, just indicates a fault with their system. When I have an afternoon to spare, I might persist with it. Thanks.

No problem @Flaneuse

I had the same isssue when I moved to sim only. It was showing Note 4 when I was actually using a Note 8. I managed to change everything using the pencil icon though.

This was well before Covid and when I contacted O2 they just updated my account.

The pencil icon just changes the name tag.

It won't update the actiual device details.

It should update automatically eventually but it makes no difference if it does or not unless you are upgrading to a phone to use wifi calling.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
