Tried making a purchase through My O2 only to have an error message saying that my credit score is low, even though Experian score it at 999 out of 999 which is excellent. Now I can't even close My O2 account.

Any advice?

Thanks

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 using the links below, they should be able to help you with this
or give them a call on 202  or 0344 809 0202

@NIX1

Looks like you should contact the sales team as they can help with that – message them on Social Media if that works best for you -on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)

Or you can call them on 0800 081 0255

Thanks

What follows is speculation @NIX1 as O2 will never reveal why someone has failed a credit check on the basis that such information might help fraudsters and scammers.

I believe that O2's credit checks will do far more than check your credit score. Whether you can afford the monthly payments might be considered, but critically, O2 will also want to identity check you.

I can imagine red flags if you have moved house recently, if you are not on the Voters' List  - the electoral register - at your current address or if there are any accounts on your credit record that are linked to you at other addresses.

Just think a little more wider than your credit score. 👍
