I am trying and failing to find where in the MyO2 website I find the details of stuff like whether my phone has European roaming turned on.
In fact I can not find any page where I can find any technical details of the contract.
And O2 shop in my town has closed down, so no help there.
This info was pretty easy in the Virgin web page and Virgin app.

Roaming in Europe is included by default, but you will need to make sure your phone is set to roam, that roaming data is enabled, and that no bar has been applied by O2 (last one needs a call to O2 to check, if you are having issues connecting to your MyO2 (app is prone to wobbles, but web version https://accounts.o2.co.uk/signin usually works well)) @Joe0.

Everyone gets included EU roaming and you'll likely find it as a bolt on in your MyO2.
