Hi,

I am no longer able to login using Chrome and my usual password but I can access my account using Firefox.  I have deleted Chrome cache, cookies, data etc from Chrome but it makes no difference.   Please can anyone help as I do not really want to have to use Firefox.  Even an explanation would be good.

In Chrome I get the dreaded Blue screen with 'It looks like something's gone wrong' and you are looking into it.  I have been seeing this for a few days.  Incidentally it was the same this time last week when I was trying to log in to Virgin Media but after a few days all was restored.

Thank you

@scarletp

I'm using Chrome and it's working fine for me, so either your browser is out of date (check for updates manually), click the 3 dotd, go to settings then about Chrome, or your account needs checking Guide: How to find help & contact O2

Thank you MI5.  I regularly check my chrome is up to date but have just made sure and it definitely is.

I managed to access this by using Firefox temporarily and it works fine.

May I ask when you say 'my account may need checking - is that the Chrome account or o2?

I plan to try for a lift to a nearest o2 shop to sort what I was trying to do online. Person to person is maybe the way to go!

@scarletp

I honestly think that this is more of a Chrome issue rather than O2.

Have you tried in incognito mode as it might have something to do with tracking cookies?

Just thought I would check as I await a delivery.

No problem with Chrome for me on Android, Ubuntu Linux and MS Windows 11. Must be something strange with your setup

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

I notice that in my Chrome too - and have to sign in using the tiny "Sign in" up at top right to get past the mangled cookie Chrome tries to (incorrectly) use, @scarletp

Hi,

Given up!  I have spent too many hours trying everything I can think of as well as doing as you kindly suggested but no success.  Decided to download Opera and will retain that just for when I want to access o2 and Virgin Media as I cannot access either of them in the usual way using Chrome.

Thank you again

Thank you for checking.  I have given up and will use Opera browser for when Chrome appears to be acting up.

I had already tried that but with no success. I do seem to  have occasional problems with o2 and VM over the years and usually it has sorted itself out over time (as it did a couple of weeks ago when I was trying to  access Virgin Media).

Thank you.
