I have lost a phone and am trying to get it blocked (so it cannot be used). Having been on to O2 via chat several times, and weeks later, I have a new sim but am no nearer to getting the phone blocked.
O2 have stated that they need the IMEI number, which I do not have on paperwork (box has long gone, and phone is missing). I need this to claim on the insurance, so am at a loss as to where to get it.
Can anyone please advise?
Thank you

In all honesty, O2 should be able to see the IMEI number used on the network.
You’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this

Have you checked under the device details in your MyO2 https://mymobile.o2.co.uk/ ?

Yes, I have looked there but cannot see it. The device is paid off, so not sure if that makes a difference?

Thanks, I will contact them on another channel. It is just so frustrating that it is not on any of the paperwork. I have been with O2 for years and they are usually exceptional with their service, I don't understand why this is such a mission.
