Hello. The o2 chat seems to be out of action at the moment, can anyone answer my question. My Samsung Smart phone tells me the my 'device memory is almost full'....'clear cached data for all apps'. I only use whatsapp but its my partner's old phone so it may have lots on it. Is it safe to clear my cached data does anyone know? Thanks and stay safe. Andrew

It's perfectly safe to clear the cache but you may be better off moving any photos and videos to an SD card to get more storage space.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

@Brickburner You can back up photos and files to your Google Drive. Google gives you 15GB of space for free. You can then delete from your phone to give you more space.

Thanks. I have an SD card in already so I assumed any images would already be on it, is that right?

@Brickburner

It depends if the default save location has been set to SD card or phone.

If already on SD card you're looking at deleting any apps you don't use anymore or upgrading to a phone with more memory capacity.

Easiest way to check is to remove SD card and see if you can still see the pictures in your phone gallery.

Thanks, Ill do that if I can spot which card it is as there are 2 in I think (one will be the Sim card I assume) but I expect it will be obvious when i get the back pen (hopefully). Cheers. I'm a bit of a beginner as you will have guessed by now. Our 02 Guru usually helps out but he's no longer in the area.
