Hey i haven just recieved a phone call from someone claiming they work for 02 saying that my number has been selected for an upgrade that is completely free and 30% off all bills. it was on an unknown number and I got told to give them a 6 didget security code for them to do it I didn't give it to them. however I was spoke to very rudely by the woman on the other end of the phone

It's a common scam to try and gain access to your account to upgrade and have a phone sent to them.

You need to change your O2 password immediately as they have access to your account, but can't do anything without the passcode that is sent to your phone when they instigate a change on your account.

Thank you I did believe it wasn't real however the txt that come through was sayin it was from o2 It was from an unknown number so unable to block the call

The text from O2 was genuine, as I said, it's because the scammers have access to your account so you should change your password immediately.
