How can I change my direct debit from one account to another? I am on a contract but want to change to a sim only and buy a new phone outright but I am still paying £26 for my 4year old phone. How can I cancel this and change to a sim only as well as change bank account details?

Yes you can buy from anywhere and just use your new O2 sim only tariff on it.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Your best bet is to go into a shop or call and do it.
You should be able to do both in one go then (upgrade to sim only and change bank details).
Not sure you can do both at the same time in the app/online...

Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).

@jenny6

Yes it's possible to do both online in your MyO2 http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2

Go to manage mt details to change bank account, then go to upgrade and choose a sim only contract.

Yes I was thinking that is my best bet. Do you know if I buy my phone through apple I can just change off of my current tariff to a sim only? I really don't know why I am paying £26 for an iphone 6 when my contract ended 2 years ago so I just want to get the cheapest deal!
