Changing IMEI number on O2 app

So ... I have 4 phone numbers on my O2 account.  Mine, my husband, my daughter and my son.

We are all on what used to be called their "Simplicity" contracts (no idea if it is still even called that!!) and we buy our handsets direct from Apple.

The kids just got the new iPhone 13's and just put the old SIM into them and transferred everything over with no need to contact O2 at all.  BUT ... how do we "tell" the O2 app that they have different phones?  I'm sure it used to pick it up itself after a period, but, like, phones are still listed for me and my husband that we got rid of 3 years ago!  I must be able to change the IMEI number somewhere online but can't find it?

@cappuccino

You can't change the actual device details, only a nickname for each device.

In theory they should update automatically but rarely they do.

You could try calling O2 but that isn't always successful either.

In reality, it makes no difference at all to the operation of your phone or account.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Hi, Thank you for replying so quickly.

Yes, I've managed to change the nickname of them.

What happens, though, if say the phone is lost/stolen and I want O2 to block it - although I suppose I can block it myself direct from "Find My", can't I ...

I'd advise you to take a copy of your IMEI numbers in case they are needed for any reason.

Thanks again for your help.
