When you say that you have got nowhere with the "X" team, what do you mean ? Have they not responded to you or did they respond in a way that was not helpful ?
Word has it that you will need to send the social media team reminders and that, if you do, they will respond within about three days.

They initially responded via DM asking for my account details, and then I've heard nothing further 72 hours later despite chasing several times.

I do not think that you have got a lot of option but to keep reminding them @stixmcvix. 👍
The other avenue is to lodge a formal complaint, but they are taking eight weeks to investigate and respond to. 👎
