Hi @MoleHD

You MUST contact customer services

https://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

Also follow the advice in this thread https://www.o2.co.uk/help/safety-and-security/fraud-and-phishing-advice

You should also report it to Action Fraud asap https://www.actionfraud.police.uk/

Best of luck.

Re: Account fraud

@MoleHD just to add that this isn't customer service so we cannot help with account related issues. O2 have a fraud department who will investigate your issue but you must call them, do not use live chat for this kind of issue.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Hey @MoleHD It's obviously quite important you get your account secured as soon as possible. Have you spoken to customer services yet?

Re: Account fraud

Thank you Cleoriff, a day of stress since they used my mobile account details to access my bank account...nothing lost I may add thanks to the quick action by the bank.

A simple voice call claiming to be O2...then firing through a sim card swap to lock me out of my phone.

Anyhoo, disaster averted Smiley Happy

Re: Account fraud

Oh Wow. That's a scam I haven't heard of before.

So pleased you caught it before any major fraud could be committed. wink

Re: Account fraud

So how exactly did they manage the sim swap?

Re: Account fraud

There will always be fraudsters looking to make a killing from those of us who have worked hard for what we have. Glad you suffered no financial loss but the stress and worry of it all takes its toll
