do not buy anything from them and check your bill and plan .. its 100 percent the most expensive operator not telling the truth to the customers i just had an horible experience with my upgrade. i was with them for 5 years and after 5 years my deal for another 24months was 320 pounds more expensive like in carphone warehouse.. also their cap on the data call and messages doesnt work they always overcharged me i just check that today .. i paid them lots of money for bad service.. no offers.. overcharging and 70percent not data working in the bristol city center ... dont buy anything from them .. hope they will not delete this as thats real experience with them also they asking for 1279pounds for iphone11pro check the Apple website as they sell the same iphone 11 pro 256gb for 1199 pounds and that original website .. the cheapest phones are on carphone warehouse ... best deals ... after 5 years with o2 im very disapointed ... they lie cheat and want only your money .. i still waiting for my refund of 160 pounds for upfront which i paid ....

@Zac11I am sorry I totally disagree with your comment, I am sure if you contact customer services you will get help.  For me the whole switch over process was smooth and quick! had my number for 15 years and happy to have it on O2.

As mentioned in this thread this is a free country and you can choose whatever network you want but do ring O2 again, tell them how you feel I am sure they will do the best to help.

I guess everyone has different experiences with different networks, for me I cannot fault O2 in anyway they been nothing but amazing and helpful to me.

If you really want to move O2 will provide you with PAC code, If your on contract you will probably need to square your balance, if your on PAYG like me, you could call them now and ask for PAC code, as I could if I wanted but I don't want to!

Give them a chance you won't regret it!

@Zac11Yes there are cheaper deals out there, I have dual SIM phone, my second backup SIM only requires minimum topup of a £1 on ASDA mobile (EE) make a call once in 6 month period and top within large number of days. I'd rather pay a little more for a service that works very well! I also had no problems at all with O2, infact the opposite awesome network!

I keep this ASDA mobile number only for emergency if I could not get O2 signal and needed to make a call, it's there but it's constantly turned off, never needed it.  In Cornwall if you get no O2 signal more than likely you get no signal at all, always good to run Network scan on your phone.

I also DO NOT work for O2.  For me it's the UKs best Network
