iPhone 6s delivery wait...

Anonymous
Not applicable
Unfortunately when I chose to upgrade my phone to iPhone 6s, it said i would have to wait up to 5 weeks. Has this sort of delay happened previous years with a new iPhone release? is it accurate? Or could I have it much sooner? I'd hate to have to wait 5 weeks but i can't say they didn't warn me.

@Anonymous We haven't heard yet of this release having a 5 week waiting list. It will be dependent on the model you want and whether your area has received stock. Some on here today have said they have their tracking numbers from DPD. If you don't hear anything re tracking by the 25th then there is a possibility it could be delayed I suppose

All depends on the spec you have chosen and how many Apple supply.
If you want it quicker, buy it from Apple directly.

How would this work if you have paid to upgrade early from existing contract? If you waited 5 weeks and it would've been the end of your contract anyway? Surely would be due the refund?

Are you talking about upgrading from a refresh contract?

When you pay what's owed on a refresh contract you are only paying off the device plan, so next month you won't be charged for it and therefore nothing to refund. You will only pay for airtime next month which you will still be using.

ah that makes sense, thanks. So theoretically I would be saving money if it went to 5 weeks as I had 25% discount on the remaining?
