Unlocking my Iphone 6S

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi guys,

Basically I bought an Iphone 6S from a UK store(not an O2 one) and I am using an O2 Pay and Go SIM card. Will I still need to wait 12 months to unlock it?

By default, a PAYG phone bought anywhere, would have been paid for in full, wouldn't it ?

The fairest way would be for all PAYG phones bought from 3rd parties, be unlocked fully too.
The policy is there to protect the investment from the networks, but if not purchased from a network, it shouldn't apply.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

I think all phones should be sold unlocked. After all, your either paying upfront, or over time in contract. You don't see us talking car finance agreeing to use certain roads. Ok not a direct comparison but get my point.
