Tried to negotiate with O2 twice to beat my deal with Sky, an S20 for £39.50 as an existing customer with Sky but the best O2 can do for a customer of 20 years ...£44.50 with 5GB less of data a month both on 36m contract AND existing customers get it £1 cheaper a month with O2....bye bye then along with the wife, anyone else think O2 too expensive now?

Unfortunately yes. O2 don't feel the need to compete and the best deals are usually sim only. They say they treat ALL customers equally but that's certainly not what happens.

Have you looked for the same phone from another online reseller? My data went from 4GB to 25GB, and a free 2-year bolt-on tripled that to 75GB. I got the phone I wanted, stayed on O2, and got a deal that pays me £228 over 2 years (tariff, incl handset, comes down to just over £35/month over 2 years, zero up-front payment) .

I never considered moving to Sky, I must admit - perhaps next time. Good luck with it, @Cm2020.
