Recent crystal clear call quality

Hi,

I've been using O2 for years. In the last 2 weeks I've noticed, that more often than not, the call quality has been similar to that of a Skype call, rather than a traditional mobile/telephone call. Sometimes, the call starts off crystal clear and then slowly degrades back to "usual" quality, but I've had a few calls that were 100% perfect.

I'm not complaining in the slightest, but has anyone got an idea of what's going on?!

Cheers,
David

It seems a bit intermittent though @MI5? People getting it say it fluctuates between excellent and then back to normal?...Why would that be?

Because it relies on 3g signal strength.

It's over 3g so I guess it depends on the stability of data connection etc.....

What happens if you are in a middle of a call though with this HD voice & you cross into an area that doesn't have 3G, does the quality recede?

Well I don't appear to have it anyway, so I really can't comment. I have just been reading the queries about it on other threads..
