Is it mandatory in the O2 Community to have the PM function turned on?   The "Guidelines" are silent on the matter.

Hi Gerry,

Its entirely your choice whether to have them turned on or not. slight_smile

The only issue being that if anything is ever edited or removed from a member's account who has disabled PMs, they are not able to receive any kind of explanation as to why certain actions are taken by the community team. I would personally not recommend turning them off for this reason.

I believe you can turn it off in settings and or block individuals but not site admin.

Have a look in your "My Settings"....if there's a turn off that's where it'll be.

Thank you @Beenherebefore     I know how to turn it off.  I was just wondering if that would be regarded as an offence against the "Guidelines"

The option is not a stipulation to being a member as far as I can see @Anonymous

Well if it's in My Settings then logically O2 don't object to your turning it off

However, I believe notifications from admins and moderators will override the settings and still be delivered.
