My phone bill needs paying but O2 have disconnected my phone what can I do

Once connected think about reinstating the direct debit to stop this happening again

@Anonymous Please follow the advice above from @MI5 and @jonsie. Also be aware that as well as paying what you owe, you will also be charged a reconnection fee.
