One Note Issues: Laptop

Just want to start by saying I am not talking about One Note on a mobile or tablet...this is a problem I experience on my two laptops.

One laptop stays in Spain, the other here in the UK.

I thought One Note 'synced across' ....so what I was seeing on one laptop would be identical to the other?

I use one pc more than the other (the UK one) and I am finding that recent info added to One Note on laptop 1 is not showing on laptop 2

Both laptops running Win 7.....Firefox and Chrome installed on both

Of course knowing me, (technophobia rules) I could be mistaken about this syncing business....if so, that's fine.

If I am right.... then why isn't it syncing?  Confused

Are you signed in to the same account on both laptops?

I presume so. My other half installed One Note on the Spain pc when I brought it back for a general update.

Basically I access one note from my homescreen on both laptops using FF...

When he originally installed it, everything  synced across perfectly. However, since installation, if I add new stuff it stays on one pc only

I'd check both are logged in first, then check the sync settings from the menu options.

I don't use the program, but is it meant to sync automatically, or does the user have to initiate it?

You can choose what you want to sync.

It should be automatic,
I'd also suggest looking to see if same sign in details (username and also password identical)

The only sticking point I have with the posts that tell me to sign in.... is that I don't have to sign in at all.

Maybe Ray did when he set up the initial account but now it is on my PC homescreen and the icons at the bottom

I just click on those and voila it opens...

Is it possible that one, or both of your devices signed you out, possibly when doing an update? Have you checked to see if you are signed in on both?
