Mobile version of the community: How often do you use it?

Hi lovely people,

 

One of the things we will potentially look into improving in 2015 is the mobile view of the community.

 

We've asked before for your thoughts/issues with it and will no doubt do so again soon, but in the meantime, I was wondering how much you all used your mobile while interacting on the community as opposed to on a laptop/PC?

 

What percentage would you say you use mobile/PC?

Like others have said, I read on mobile , but have to get the laptop out to post as many features are missing. Difficulty with editing, images etc..even clicking on request desktop site on chrome has it's limitations x. Love it tho lol 😁

@Cairdeas  If you are on your mobile and switch from Mobile view to Full view you have all the same features as if you are on the laptop. Smaller but all there  wink

Hey guys,

 

Thanks so much for the thoughts on this. As ever, some very thorough and insightful points.

 

We're looking into a few options, one shorter and one longer term. There is a an updated mobile version of Lithium forum software that adds some features that are not currently present (e.g. Picture uploads). We're looking into this in more details and will share more info very soon slight_smile

 

We're also investigating options for a community app, but this will be something that will be a much longer term process. Again, as we develop anything, we'll do our best to involve you all for your views and opinions. Bear in mind however that this is not an announcement by any means slight_smile

Community app sounds good slight_smile

I too like the idea of a Community App although as it is currently accessed via myo2 app on the mobile platform one could argue it is already available

i use on my mobile (S3) but i prefer it to be in its window and not via My O2, or have the choice as to how we wud like to view appsFantastic
